GPS Tracking For Children

Child Locator Devices Give Parents Peace of Mind

The following is a list of 2 different kinds of child locator devices that you can use today. Two with GPS tracking enabled and the other uses wireless technology as you’ll see below…

BrickHouse has a child locator device that will immediately alert you with a loud beeping noise, vibration and directional guidance as soon as your child or loved one wanders past the preset distances you have defined.

The device will “home” in on your child or anyone wearing the “tag” or wristband. As you get closer to them. The directional guidance will get stronger and the beeping will get louder.

The person wearing the band can at any time press the panic button which will send an alert to the person who has the hand held unit.

This locator would be perfect for an outing with someone who has memory issues, a child who has special needs, and anyone with a tendency to wander off. The minute they pass your predefined “safe area” you will be alerted.

More information and videos are available at their website. BrickHouse.com

Track People With GPS Tracking Technology

Track People With GPS Tracking Technology
By Steward Lucree

The day when we could have GPS tracking intrude on our daily lives is here. This technology is everywhere and in some of the devices that we carry around the most – such as cell phones.

Just a few years ago, many people would never have dreamed of this being the case, but today it truly is. The fears of “big brother” and other apocalyptic futures are real because we are at the stage right now where a government or a corporation could invade the privacy of a large portion of the population without so much as batting an eyelash.

But there is also a large amount of good that can be done with tracking devices. Here are just a few of them:

Track Convicted Criminals

Overcrowded jails are a huge problem for societies that oppress the poor, are racist, or have made certain drugs illegal. This overcrowding results in dangerous conditions for inmates and guards and actually leads to a decrease in the effectiveness of jails to rehabilitate inmates. This is bad news for society.

But it can be remedied with GPS tracking. Those felons who were convicted of lesser crimes could be sent home with a court order to wear a tracker. They would be allowed to get jobs and otherwise be productive members of society while at the same time serving their time for their crime. Rehabilitation would continue, prisons would become less crowded, and crime would decrease in the long term.

Monitor the Elderly

The over 60 population is beginning to mushroom as the baby-boomers enter the silver years. We all know that dementia is a huge problem that many families will have to face. GPS tracking devices can help families keep their loved ones safe while still living a relatively normal life while caring for them. If their father or mother wanders from the home, the tracking unit will notify them of the activity and the exact location of their parent. They will also have the exact location where they are so they can go and pick them up, returning them safely home.

Young Person Tracking

Teen and child safety is one of the major applications of this technology. There are so many different stories about a child being abducted or a teen getting into a fatal car accident that it is not shocking anymore to hear about these tragedies. But there is a technological solution to these problems that can help parent ensure the safety of both our children and our teens.

By placing some GPS tracking units on our children we can help determine when they have been kidnapped quickly and notify the police with their exact position. This will get them home safely and the criminal caught.

For our teens we can install driving nannies that help them understand that their driving habit matter. If they break the driving rules they will be punished.

We should not fear GPS tracking. We should use it for the good that it can do. Average citizens can use this technology to make the world better, so let us do it.

GPS Tracking System

GPS Tracking System
By Jamiel Dcosta

GPS Tracking Devices come in many shapes and sizes. This is meant literally and figuratively. Some of them are so small they can easily be hidden in the dash of a car – out of sight, out of mind. But, what is a GPS Tracking Device?

A GPS Tracking Device is a set of electronic components with an embedded GPS receiver mounted on a printed circuit board with some type of power supply and in many cases a RF modem. The GPS Tracker Device will have a CPU and on-board memory so that basic commands can be stored in the unit and thus control how it works. The device can store GPS location records or waypoints in memory to be downloaded later on for analysis. If a RF modem is built into the Device, it can transmit the data over the airwaves to the end-user for immediate analysis.

While GPS Tracking Devices have many uses, there are units designed for specific purposes. Units with an enclosed waterproof housing and self-contained battery pack for the power source are ideally suited for affixing to trailers, and other highly mobile unpowered assets. It can help locate the asset. In addition, it can alert the end-user when it moves and provide numerous analytical reports. Other types of GPS Tracker Devices are better suited to being installed in a vehicle and obtaining its power requirements from the host vehicle. In many cases the GPS Tracking Device can sense when the ignition of the vehicle is switched on or off. This helps the end-user to “see” where the vehicle stopped, the duration of the stop, or even if the vehicle is idling excessively.

While there are many types of GPS Tracking Devices, the benefits are common. They serve to identify where vehicles or assets are, where they have been and for how long, how fast they have been going, and if the vehicle has been running while in a stationary position. Enabling the end-user to know these things help them to take corrective action to create a safer, more productive mobile workforce.

Big fleet businesses have long known the value of outfitting their fleets with GPS Tracking Devices, but now smaller companies are realizing the benefits. Costs of hardware and the monitoring service have continued to drop to the point where the small businessman can afford to invest in this type of technology. With the cost of fuel skyrocketing, and a competitive marketplace in a shrinking economy fighting for less business, it is the business that runs more efficiently that will be able to stay ahead of its competitors. Modern GPS Tracking Devices make this possible.

You can easily monitor your vehicles by using GPS tracking devices which is affordable and easy to install. Please visit http://www.trackersystems.net for more information.

Controversy About GPS Tracking Children

Controversy About GPS Tracking Children

By Dale Perry

There were 62,000 missing persons reported in Florida in 2007, most of which were children. Figures like these are enough to make a solid decision on GPS tracking children.

As bad as it is in Florida, California and Texas are worse, topping the list for missing children and registered offenders. Parents all over are debating the merits of GPS tracking children as over against their child’s rights to a certain amount of privacy.

It amounts to stalking, in a way, for GPS to track children to be effective. A child must be carrying, at all times, in some fashion, a GPS location unit. Parents are then able to use a computer or smart phone to find the location of the child. As a child gets older, they will likely begin to chafe under the constant surveillance, but a firm explanation of the necessity of tracking children with GPS should be enough to help the child understand, if not completely agree.

In many search cases for lost children, with a device that uses GPS, tracking children would have been so much easier. If a child can be found as soon as possible, the most unthinkable horror on the planet-the loss of a child-can be averted.

What is the downside? A parent always knows where a child is, and to some pre-teens and teens, this is unbearable. But tracking children with GPS cannot be argued on the merits of invasion of privacy, not when children are so ill equipped to defend themselves. A parent cannot always be with their children. Knowing where they are at all times is not only safer for the children, but reassuring for the parents.

Another downside is cost. Units to track children are expensive. A price of $150 for an individual unit is on the lower end, with costs getting much higher for specialized units. And that is just for the units, itself. Some GPS units for tracking children have monthly or annual fees attached to them. Some even charge per tracking session. So always do serious research when considering the purchase of a system for GPS tracking children.

There are many different GPS tracking products on the market. One of them is Zoombak ZMBK200 Advanced GPS Car and Family Locator. With Christmas just around the corner buying GPS tracking device as a Christmas gift may be a great idea. GPS Tracking Devices For Children

GPS Tracking Devices For Children

By Jenna Kincade

United States Missing Child Statistics

- A child goes missing every 40 seconds in the U.S.,over 2,100 per day

- 800,000 children go missing each year

- 90% are juveniles

- 50% are 4-11 years old

- Strangers commit 53% of child abductions that end tragically

- Kidnapping statistics in America also show that it generally takes a parent 2-4 hours to provide complete information [recent photos and general information about their child] to law enforcement agencies

- Another 500,000 go missing without ever being reported!

** (Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, National Incidence Studies of Missing, Abducted, Runaway, and Thrown away Children, October 2002)

If those statistics aren’t scary when it comes to the safety of our children I don’t know what is! From the moment our children are born we as parents naturally worry about them. Are they hungry? Are they warm enough? Are they sick? Our kids safety and well being are uppermost in our thoughts at all times.

Hazards are everywhere and we worry most when we are not with our children and seemingly have no control over their well being. Is it surprising that many parents are turning to technology to provide an added measure of reassurance? Moving beyond the baby monitor and even the cellphone is a new monitoring method called GPS-Global Positioning System. Under what circumstances would I use a GPS tracking Device for my child?

I recall an incident when my oldest child was very young and we were shopping at the mall. I was standing at the counter at Wendy’s paying for our order and when I turned Kevin was nowhere to be seen!Have you had that or a similar situation happen? Fear grips you, your heart races, you search desperately, frantic with worry and the thought occurs to you that your child may have been kidnapped or injured. My experience ended happily as Kevin was playing a game of hide and seek, but sadly there are similar stories with unhappy endings. Kids are naturally curious and easily distracted. Wouldn’t it ease any parents mind to be able to instantly track their location.

As our children age and go off to school they sometimes have to walk alone or perhaps they just want to go to the park with a friend. While every child needs to have a measure of independence,we as parents worry about these situations. A Personal GPS Tracking Device can help monitor your child’s movements and determine if they are where they should be. Young children need close supervision. The GPS Tracking Device for children works on the principle that you can set parameters and have a “virtual” fence. If the child goes outside those preset parameters an alarm is sent to the parent device immediately letting you know where your child is.

Would I use a GPS Tracking Device on my children if they were young? You bet I would!Regrettably we live in a world where we cannot guarantee the safety of our children 100% of the time but wouldn’t you feel better just knowing you had one more weapon in your parental arsenal to protect your child? Check out those statistics again and I think you will agree that a GPS device is just another layer of protection that will bring you peace of mind.

Parents with special needs children, children with autism for example,or other special needs kids would benefit greatly with a tracking device designed especially for children. There are various makes and models that will be the perfect solution for you and your kids! Isn’t your peace of mind and your child’s safety worth the investigation and investment of the right tracking device that will fit your child and unique situation and budget?

There are numerous devices on the market today. GPS watches to fit children, shoes that have built-in tracking devices and small GPS devices that will fit in a backpack.

Child Location Devices – Track Your Kids and Your Nanny

Are you a working parent who has to leave your child with a nanny every day?  Are you skeptical as to what your nanny does with your children after you leave for the day?  If you want to find out where your children really go, then you need a device that tracks all the movements that your nanny does.  Child Location Devices are great for this.  You will be able to find out if your nanny is really taking your child on walks and going to the park, or if she is taking them to the mall, her boyfriend’s house or other areas that you do not allow your children to go to.

Child Location Devices come in a variety of types and sizes.  There are devices that you can literally attack to your child’s bag or stroller.  Your nanny will not even be aware that there is a tracking device with them.  Child Location Devices look very inconspicuous, with some looking like a key chain attached to a bag. Your nanny will never know that you are tracking her activities with your children.  If you want to see where she is, all you have to do is simply call the device and it will send you a detailed map and description of the area of where the device is at.  You will now be able to know if your nanny is as reliable as she claims to be.  You will know if your kids are being well-cared for or if it is time to start looking for a new nanny.

Child Location Devices are a great way to keep your child safe from the harms in today’s society.  If your nanny takes him or her to place where your child does not feel safe, the device can be set off by your child sending an SOS text to you and up to 5 other people so that your child can be found and removed from the unsafe area.

Keep track of your children when they are not with you.  Install a tracking device onto their bags or strollers and keep track of where your nanny takes them.  Don’t let your child fall victim to harm.

How GPS Tracking Works

GPS stands for Global Positioning System. It is a U.S. space-based radio navigation system that provides positioning, timing tracking, and navigation services to many – all the time, and in all weather. Via communication between the satellite and a receiver, information on it’s location is recorded and either stored in the unit, sent to a central database, or sent to a computer. There is software that you can use to track in real time or analyze later.

In order for GPS to function properly, you need the satellites orbiting the earth, monitoring and control stations on the earth, and a receiver that the end user can receive the data from.

GPS Receivers come in a variety of shapes and sizes… Units can come in cars, be used in watches, cell phones, and more recently, there are receivers that are designed to be used to aid in tracking people. These receivers are life saving units that help to locate a lost child, or loved one. The concept with all of them are the same, how you choose to implement GPS tracking will determine the unit and company that you decide to use for your needs.

GPS fleet tracking is also useful for business owners. With some units you can track how fast your company vehicle is going, make sure that your employees are doing their job and following the rules when on company time. Many people don’t like the idea of this, but when business owners are being taken advantage of, what other options exist?

Whatever method that you choose, make sure that you are aware of any monthly subscription costs and any extra fees. Some companies will require you to lease or purchase the receiver and then charge a monthly or yearly access fee. The fee usually covers the costs of using the software system that you will be using to access data about your fleet. In the long run, you will probably save money by knowing what your staff is up too.

GPS Tracking For Children – High Tech Help

Our kids are precious, they are innocent and in this day and age, parents need all the help they can get. It’s unfortunate that in today’s world, being a good parent is not enough. Try as you may, things happen, either by accident or by terrible people. I feel that as a parent who is trying to protect their children, and has their best interests at hand – this is a good product for them. Child locator devices, in my humble opinion will not work as a babysitter for your kids.

Keeping your kids safe with GPS tracking for children is probably one of the best things you can do. Let’s face it, we lead busy lives, we work, we travel, and our children can’t always be supervised the way we would like, one hundred percent of the time. This is just the way it is in today’s society.

Many parents are at odds with this technology, saying it steps too far into our private lives and our childrens’ lives. The reality is that your kids will be unattended by you many times throughout their day. They play outside, and walk to the bus, they go to their friends houses to play and you have no control over what happens at that point. It’s in these unsupervised moments that things can go wrong. It doesn’t mean it’s a parents fault. At some point, we all have to let our children have a little freedom and feel like a human being growing up. The facts are there, according to a report from the U.S. department of justice, 797,500 children younger than 18 were reported missing in a one year period of time studied. This is terrible!

So, how does all of this stuff work? Let me tell you, it’s way easier than you think. There are companies that use GPS (Global Positioning System) and your cell phone. So, this means that if you have a cell phone, you can track your children. There are many different styles of devices on the market as well.

You can use a watch style tracking system, you can give them a cell phone with tracking enabled, they can wear a device as a necklace, in the style of a pager, you can put a device in their backpack. There are lots of ways you can implement the device. Now, while you can’t guarantee that it won’t be removed or taken off by your child or someone else, (that is if they know what to look for), Choosing an inconspicuous product will deter against this.
